Penetrant is a brilliant colored mobile fluid with high wetting capability. The penetrant is allowed "dwell time" to soak into any flaws (generally 5 to 30 minutes). The dwell time mainly depends upon the penetrant being used, the material being tested and the size of flaws sought. As expected, smaller flaws require a longer penetration time. 

We have all types of penetrant like water washable, Solvent removable and post emulsifiable for both visible and Fluorescent Inspection. Penetrant is available in both liter can and Aerosol can.
